Your fridge decides the size
A 12V portable fridge running around the clock can use 480 to 1,080 Wh a day on its own, more than everything else on a typical list combined. Our Weekend vs Week-Long guide walks through the math, and the Power Station Calculator estimates runtime for your exact gear.
Stay charged without a hookup
Solar panels and your vehicle can refill a power station between uses. A 100W panel adds roughly 300 to 400 Wh on a sunny day, and a 200W panel roughly 800 to 1,000 Wh with 4 to 5 peak sun hours. An alternator charger tops up your station while you drive between sites.
100W Panel
About 300–400 Wh · Sunny day
200W Panel
About 800–1,000 Wh · 4–5 sun hours
