The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus stores 1,024Wh and delivers 1,800W from six outlets at 27.6 lb, with a 10ms UPS, 1,000W of solar and room for extra batteries up to about 5kWh. The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 stores 4,096Wh and delivers 4,000W at 120V and 240V, with an L14-30 for a transfer switch, 2,600W of solar and about 12kWh of expansion, at 113.5 lb. Prices sit $2,080 apart today. If nothing in your house needs 240V and a fridge for a day is enough, the Plus does the job; for a well pump, a dryer circuit or a panel hookup, only the DELTA Pro 3 is in the running.
Below: the differences with numbers, a 20-second calculator for your own gear, eight modeled situations, the cost of building either one up to 4kWh and beyond, a middle option, and what published tests found on each.
Different classes. The DELTA Pro 3 stores four times the energy, delivers 4,000W at 120V and 240V and takes 2,600W of solar; the DELTA 3 Plus weighs a quarter as much and covers 120V loads up to 1,800W. Prices sit $2,080 apart today.
- you carry it: 27.6 lb
- your loads stay under 1,800W
- 1kWh now, more later
- you need 240V or a panel link

The five differences that decide it
Both use LFP cells rated for 4,000 cycles to 80%, the EcoFlow app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, X-Boost for heating loads, a 10ms UPS and extra-battery ports; both take a DELTA Pro 3 Extra Battery. These five gaps decide it.
Will it run your setup? Check in 20 seconds
Estimates use 85% usable capacity and 70% of rated solar output. Real results vary with temperature, inverter load, shade and appliance cycling. Fridge and freezer watts are daily averages and do not include compressor startup surges.
Runtime by appliance, one at a time
Simple energy estimates, not measured runtimes. About 870Wh usable on the DELTA 3 Plus and 3,482Wh on the DELTA Pro 3; StorageReview measured 910Wh out of a DELTA 3 Plus and OutdoorGearLab 3,790Wh out of a DELTA Pro 3.
Appliance for appliance, the DELTA Pro 3 lasts 4.0 times as long as the Plus.

The price gap, in numbers
The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 costs $2,080 more than the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus and adds 3,072Wh: that is $0.68 per extra Wh, against $0.70 per Wh for the Plus.
Prices refresh daily from EcoFlow US.What the $2,080 buys: three times more battery (4,096Wh vs 1,024Wh), 240V and 2,200W more output.
Adding a DELTA Pro 3 Extra Battery to a DELTA 3 Plus gets you past the DELTA Pro 3’s capacity, but not its output: you stay at 1,800W and 120V, with 1,000W of solar. That battery fits both stations, so it moves with you if you trade up. EcoFlow US prices move often; the figures here are refreshed daily by our price engine.
The third option: the DELTA 3 Max Plus at $1,149
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus: $1,149 today
The middle ground if 1kWh is too little and 240V isn’t needed: 2,048Wh and 3,000W from four 20A outlets, a 30A Anderson port, 1,000W of solar, 0 to 80% from the wall in 64 minutes and expansion to about 10kWh, at 48.7 lb. It stays at 120V like the Plus. See the DELTA 3 Max Plus at EcoFlow.
Eight modeled situations, worked out
Same formula as the calculator above: 85% of the rated capacity, no extra battery. The fridge averages 60W, about 525kWh a year.
24-hour outage, essentials only
The DELTA Pro 3 covers a day and a half; the DELTA 3 Plus gets you through the night, or about a day with one DELTA 3 Extra Battery.
A full-size fridge, nothing else
About 14 hours on the Plus, about two and a half days on the DELTA Pro 3.
CPAP, every night
Two to three nights on the Plus, more than ten on the DELTA Pro 3. OutdoorGearLab ran CPAP machines from a DELTA Pro 3 overnight without noticing its fan.
A 240V well pump
Only the DELTA Pro 3, through its L14-30 or 6-20R outlet. A 120V pump under 1,800W runs on both, if its start-up surge stays under the Plus’s 3,600W.
A space heater on high
About 35 minutes on the Plus, a little over two hours on the DELTA Pro 3. Trusted Reviews ran a 1,000W heater for almost exactly an hour on a DELTA 3 Plus.
Refill from solar, each at its maximum
The Plus fills sooner because its battery is a quarter the size; the DELTA Pro 3 banks four times the energy per sunny day, if you own 2,600W of panels.
Refill from the wall before a storm
The Plus is full in under an hour. From a 120V outlet, Digital Trends and OutdoorGearLab both needed about three hours for the DELTA Pro 3; a 240V outlet gets it to 80% in 50 minutes.
Moving it
The Plus is a one-hand carry. The DELTA Pro 3 rolls on wheels, but reviewers weighed it at 114 to 115 lb and found it hard to move around a campsite.

Practical consequence: the DELTA Pro 3 adds the 240V outlets (L14-30 for a transfer switch, 6-20R), a TT-30 for an RV and an Anderson port. The DELTA 3 Plus keeps a car socket the DELTA Pro 3 lacks, six standard outlets and a 140W USB-C.
09 · NoiseNoise and heat: Plus vs DELTA Pro 3
The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is the quieter neighbor in reviews: OutdoorGearLab ran it overnight next to CPAP machines without noticing the fan. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is rated under 30dB at 600W, but T3 and Trusted Reviews found its fans running even at light loads.
EcoFlow’s figures only; no reviewer published a dB measurement for either.Every figure we found, with its source
What reviewers heard: Fans ran once a port was on and cycled about every minute (T3); they ran even at low loads (Trusted Reviews, UK unit); the unit got warmer than expected on light loads (How-To Geek).
What reviewers heard: Ran overnight with CPAP machines and heaters without the fan being noticed; louder only near its 4,000W maximum (OutdoorGearLab). Digital Trends used it through a heat wave above 90°F.
Measured by a tester Brand figure
- The fans run hardest while fast charging, so lower the charging speed in the app at night.
Cold, heat and storage: Plus vs DELTA Pro 3
The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 charges from 32°F to 113°F and runs from 14°F to 113°F. EcoFlow US doesn’t publish its temperature ranges for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus, so charge it above freezing too. Both battery packs are rated IP65.
Figures from EcoFlow US for the DELTA Pro 3; EcoFlow US publishes no temperature range for the DELTA 3 Plus.- In a garage in winter, bring either one inside to charge: the DELTA Pro 3 doesn’t charge below 32°F, and EcoFlow US publishes no charging range for the DELTA 3 Plus.
- For storage, keep the DELTA Pro 3 between 68°F and 86°F, EcoFlow’s recommended range.
App, UPS and smart features
The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 does more around the house: 240V, the Smart Home Panel 2 and automatic Smart Generator starts. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus matches it on the 10ms UPS and extra batteries, and lists time-of-use and storm alerts.
Same app and same 10ms UPS. The gap is 240V and home integration.Green zone: a switch under about 16ms, which most desktop PCs ride through without restarting.
Does it deliver 240V? The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is 120V only; well pumps, dryers and 240V transfer switches need the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3.
Does it connect to a home panel? The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 pairs with the Smart Home Panel 2, with app control of up to 12 circuits, and feeds a transfer switch from its L14-30. EcoFlow lists no panel option for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus.
Can it start a generator by itself? The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 starts an EcoFlow Smart Generator by itself. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus charges from a Smart Generator at 1,500W through its XT150 port.
Does it work as a UPS? Both switch in 10ms; StorageReview measured just over 8ms on the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus.
Can you add a battery later? Both take extra batteries: the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus to about 5kWh, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 to about 12kWh with two DELTA Pro 3 Extra Batteries. That battery fits both.
Can it charge off-peak? EcoFlow lists time-of-use settings for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus and Scheduled Tasks for the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3, so both can be set to charge off-peak.
How does the app connect? Both use the EcoFlow app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 adds CAN for EcoFlow’s home system.
Warranty and support
EcoFlow’s US warranty table lists the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus at 5 years with no condition. It lists the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 at 5 years too, but the DELTA Pro 3 product page shows 3 years plus 2 on app registration, so register it.
Both reach 5 years; only the DELTA Pro 3 may need the app.Subject to each brand’s warranty terms and eligibility.
EcoFlow rates both at 4,000 cycles to 80%, about 11 years at one full cycle a day. Calendar aging and heat also reduce capacity, so read the rating as a ceiling.
- Register the DELTA Pro 3 in the EcoFlow app the day it arrives: its product page ties the last 2 years to registration.
What reviewers report
We have not lab-tested these two units. Here is what 11 published reviews found, with the source, author and date for each point. Reviews of UK and EU units are flagged: those models charge from 230V outlets and have different sockets, so their charge times and outlet findings don’t carry over to US units.
