Prices and stock checked by our price engine on November 5, 2026 at 6:30 AM EST. Each product is rechecked several times a day; the time refreshes when you load the page.

Same kilowatt-hour, opposite jobs: one runs the kitchen, the other keeps the router alive.

The EcoFlow DELTA 2 stores 1,024Wh and delivers 1,800W from six AC outlets, with a 12V socket and a port for one extra battery. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 1000 Air stores 960Wh but stops at 500W from a single outlet; in exchange it weighs 22 lb instead of 27 and switches to battery in 10ms instead of about 30ms. EcoFlow US sells neither anymore: its DELTA 2 page now leads to the DELTA 3, its 1000 Air page to the DELTA 3 Classic.

Below: the five differences with numbers, a 20-second calculator for your own gear, eight modeled situations, what each replacement costs today, and what published tests found.

Quick answer

If you own one, keep it for what it does well: the DELTA 2 for big loads and many plugs, the 1000 Air as a small, fast UPS. If you’re buying today, neither is sold by EcoFlow US: the DELTA 3 replaces the DELTA 2 and the DELTA 3 Classic replaces the 1000 Air.

Bottom line: the DELTA 2 is the more capable station: more than three times the output, six outlets, 12V and expansion. The 1000 Air is only the better pick as a light UPS for electronics. Buying new, look at their replacements: the DELTA 3 for the DELTA 2’s role, the DELTA 3 Classic for the Air’s.
01 · Differences

Estimates use 85% usable capacity and 70% of rated solar output. Real results vary with temperature, inverter load, shade and appliance cycling. Fridge and freezer watts are daily averages and do not include compressor startup surges.

Runtime by appliance, one at a time

Simple energy estimates, not measured runtimes: about 870Wh usable on the DELTA 2 and 816Wh on the 1000 Air. StorageReview measured 850Wh from the DELTA 2 at a 270W load. A load above 500W does not run on the Air at all.

Runtime verdict

Appliance for appliance, the DELTA 2 lasts 7% longer than the 1000 Air.

Same appliance, same watts: the gap is always the size of the battery.

EcoFlow US sends DELTA 2 shoppers to the DELTA 3, which keeps six outlets, the 12V socket and a battery port, and 1000 Air shoppers to the DELTA 3 Classic, which keeps the 10ms UPS and adds 1,800W. Both replacements switch in 10ms.

TakeawayIf you liked the DELTA 2, the DELTA 3 is its natural successor; if you liked the 1000 Air, the Classic gives you the same UPS speed with more than three times the output.
04 · Situations

Eight modeled situations, worked out

Same formula as the calculator above, with no extra battery. The fridge averages 60W, about 525kWh a year.

24-hour outage, essentials only

Fridge + Wi-Fi router + phones and a laptop + 5 LED bulbs: about 2,190Wh a day (the calculator’s Power outage preset)
DELTA 29.5 h
1000 Air8.9 h

Nearly the same: an evening and part of the night. Only the DELTA 2 can be extended, with one extra battery; the Air needs a power strip for these plugs.

CPAP, every night

CPAP without humidifier, 40W × 8 hours: 320Wh a night
DELTA 22.7 nights
1000 Air2.5 nights

Both carry a CPAP for more than two nights. If it stays plugged in through the unit, the Air’s 10ms switchover is the safer one.

A microwave during an outage

1,100W microwave reheating a meal
DELTA 247 min
1000 AirWon’t run

The DELTA 2 runs it. 1,100W is more than twice the Air’s 500W rating, and X-Boost only helps heating elements.

Six plugs at once

Fridge, router, modem, lamp, TV and a phone charger on AC during an outage
DELTA 26 outlets
1000 Air1 outlet

The DELTA 2 takes all six plugs. On the Air, a power strip works only if the total stays under 500W.

A 12V fridge in a van

12V compressor fridge averaging 45W, plugged into a car socket
DELTA 2Car socket, 126W
1000 AirNo 12V socket

Only the DELTA 2 runs a 12V fridge directly. On the Air you’d need the fridge’s AC adapter, which wastes energy through the inverter.

A desktop PC through a grid drop

PC plugged into the station while it charges from the wall, then the grid cuts out
DELTA 2 (EPS)about 30ms
1000 Air (UPS)10ms

About 30ms is longer than many desktop power supplies ride through, so a PC may reboot on the DELTA 2. The Air’s 10ms is safer, as long as the PC and monitor draw under 500W.

Refill from solar, 500W of panels

Hours of full sun to refill from empty, at 70% of panel rating; both take 500W
DELTA 22.9 h
1000 Air2.7 h

Practically identical. CleanTechnica filled its DELTA 2 in 3 hours from solar in Southern California.

A 1,500W space heater on high

A typical plug-in heater at its high setting
DELTA 235 min
1000 AirWon’t run

Beyond the Air’s 800W X-Boost. The DELTA 2 runs it for about half an hour: treat it as a bridge, or use the low setting.

What reviewers report

We have not lab-tested these two units, and we found no independent test of the 1000 Air. Here is what 5 published reviews found, with the source, author and date for each point. Reviews of UK and EU units are flagged: those models charge from 230V outlets and have different sockets, so their charge times and outlet findings don’t carry over to US units.

13 · Practical limits

Practical limits before you buy

  1. EcoFlow US sells neither one. Its DELTA 2 page leads to the DELTA 3 and its 1000 Air page to the DELTA 3 Classic; check any seller’s warranty terms before buying a used or leftover unit.
  2. 500W is the Air’s hard limit. Microwaves, kettles, coffee makers, hair dryers and space heaters overload it.
  3. The Air has one AC outlet. Plan a power strip, and keep the total under 500W.
  4. About 30ms is borderline for desktop PCs. For a computer on the DELTA 2, test the switchover before you rely on it.
  5. X-Boost is for heating loads only. It lowers the voltage to keep a heating element running; motors and electronics need the rated 1,800W or 500W.
  6. Only the DELTA 2 has a 12V car socket, DC barrels and a battery port.
  7. Neither charges below freezing. Bring it indoors to charge in winter.
  8. DELTA 2 extra battery: only one DELTA 2 or DELTA Max Extra Battery fits, per EcoFlow.
14 · FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I still buy the DELTA 2 or the DELTA 3 1000 Air from EcoFlow US?

No. EcoFlow US redirects the DELTA 2 page to the DELTA 3 and the 1000 Air page to the DELTA 3 Classic. Any unit you find now is leftover or used stock.

What replaced each one?

The DELTA 3 replaced the DELTA 2: six AC outlets, a 12V socket and a battery port, with a 10ms UPS. The DELTA 3 Classic replaced the 1000 Air: same 10ms UPS, but 1,800W from three outlets.

Which has the bigger battery?

The DELTA 2, slightly: 1,024Wh against 960Wh, both LFP. StorageReview measured 850Wh out of a DELTA 2 at a 270W load; no one has published a capacity test of the Air.

Can the 1000 Air run a microwave?

No. A typical microwave draws over 1,000W, twice the Air’s 500W rating. The DELTA 2 runs one at 1,800W.

Which is better as a UPS?

The 1000 Air: 10ms. EcoFlow gives no time for the DELTA 2; reviewers quote about 30ms for its EPS mode, which some desktop PCs don’t ride through. The Air’s limit is 500W.

How many outlets does each have?

The DELTA 2 has six AC outlets, two 100W USB-C, four USB-A, a 12V car socket and two DC barrels. The 1000 Air has one AC outlet, one 18W USB-C and one 12W USB-A.

Which charges faster?

How we compared and sources

Research-based comparison. We have not physically tested these two units. EcoFlow US no longer sells either one and redirects both pages to newer models, so their specs come from the US pages as archived (DELTA 2 on June 2, 2025, DELTA 3 1000 Air on March 19, 2026), completed by EcoFlow Canada’s pages for the same 120V models. Usage observations are attributed to named reviewers. Checked on October 31, 2026.
