Own a C800X? Keep it. Shopping today? It’s no longer on Anker’s US shelf.
The Anker SOLIX C800X stored 768Wh of LFP and delivered 1,200W from five AC outlets, with 300W of solar, a 58-minute refill and a sub-20ms UPS, at 23.15 lb; Anker US no longer sells it, and its sibling C800 pages now redirect to the C1000 Gen 2. The Anker SOLIX C1000X Gen 2 stores 1,024Wh and delivers 2,000W, switches in 10ms, takes 600W of solar and refills in 49 minutes, rated for 4,000 cycles against 3,000. What the X doesn’t give you is a full spec sheet: Anker’s US page lists no weight, size or outlet count.
Below: what separates them with numbers, a 20-second calculator for your own gear, seven modeled situations, the documented alternative, and what published tests found on the C800X.
The C1000X Gen 2 is the bigger, faster unit: a third more battery, 800W more output, twice the solar input and a 10ms UPS. The C800X is no longer sold by Anker US; if you own one, nothing here forces an upgrade.

The five differences that decide it
Both use LFP cells, the Anker app and a UPS, and neither takes an extra battery. These five gaps decide it.
Will it run your setup? Check in 20 seconds
Estimates use 85% usable capacity and 70% of rated solar output. Real results vary with temperature, inverter load, shade and appliance cycling. Fridge and freezer watts are daily averages and do not include compressor startup surges.
Runtime by appliance, one at a time
Simple energy estimates, not measured runtimes. About 870Wh usable on the C1000X Gen 2 and 653Wh on the C800X; MyChooz got 636Wh out of a C800X through a 778W heater (EU unit).
Appliance for appliance, the C1000X Gen 2 lasts 33% longer than the C800X.
Same appliance, same watts: the gap is always the size of the battery.Get our Black Friday alerts for Anker SOLIX

What the current options cost today
Anker’s C800 family pages now redirect to the C1000 Gen 2, which shares the C1000X Gen 2’s 1,024Wh, 2,000W and 10ms figures. If a seller still has a C800X, check that it is new and that Anker’s 5-year warranty applies. Both prices move often.
The third option: the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 at $549.99
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2: $549.99 today
The model Anker’s C800 pages now redirect to, and the documented version of the X: 1,024Wh and 2,000W from five AC outlets, a 10ms UPS, 600W of solar and a 49-minute refill, rated for 4,000 cycles, at 24.9 lb, with five published independent tests. Seven modeled situations, worked out
Same formula as the calculator above: 85% of the rated capacity, no extra battery.
24-hour outage, essentials only
An evening and most of a night on either; the C1000X Gen 2 lasts about two hours longer. Neither takes an extra battery for a full day.
Space heater on high
The C1000X Gen 2 runs it at full power. The C800X’s 1,200W inverter can only drive it on SurgePad, which runs heating loads at reduced power.
Home office through an outage
A workday on either. The C1000X Gen 2 switches in 10ms, under the roughly 16ms a desktop PC power supply rides through; Anker rates the C800X under 20ms, and ITC.ua saw an Xbox and a TV stay on when it pulled the plug.
CPAP, a weekend away
Two nights on the C800X, closer to three on the C1000X Gen 2, before you need the sun or the car.
Refill from the wall before a storm
Anker’s figures. The C1000X Gen 2’s 49 minutes needs UltraFlash switched on in the app; the C800X charges at 750W by default, about 90 minutes, and ITC.ua took 1 h 55 min from 5% in that mode on a 230V unit.
Refill from solar, each at its maximum
With twice the input, the C1000X Gen 2 refills a bigger battery faster. Anker quotes 1.8 hours and 2.8 hours in ideal sun.
Carrying it
Anker’s datasheet gives 23.15 lb for the C800X. Anker publishes no weight for the C1000X Gen 2, only that it is 11% lighter than comparable units; the C1000 Gen 2 with the same battery weighs 24.9 lb.

Warranty and support
Both carry 5 years: the Anker SOLIX C800X per Anker’s datasheet, the Anker SOLIX C1000X Gen 2 once registered, per Anker’s US registration page. An existing C800X keeps the term it was sold with.
Same term. The C1000X Gen 2 is rated for 1,000 more cycles.Subject to each brand’s warranty terms and eligibility.
Anker rates the C1000X Gen 2 at 4,000 cycles to 80% and the C800X at 3,000+ to 80%, about 11 and 8 years at one full cycle a day. Calendar aging and heat also reduce capacity, so read the ratings as a ceiling.
- Register a new C1000X Gen 2 with Anker when it arrives: Anker’s registration page says that activates the 5-year coverage.
- Buying a C800X from a remaining seller, check that it is new and that Anker’s warranty applies.
What reviewers report
We have not lab-tested these two units. Here is what 2 published reviews found, with the source, author and date for each point. Reviews of UK and EU units are flagged: those models charge from 230V outlets and have different sockets, so their charge times and outlet findings don’t carry over to US units.
