The newer box holds more and is rated for more cycles. What it gave up is the 12V port.
The Anker SOLIX S5000 stores 5,024Wh, delivers 4,500W at 120V or 240V, takes 3,000W of solar and is rated for 6,000 cycles, at 97 lb, for $299.01 less. The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 stores 4,096Wh and delivers 4,000W at 120V and 240V, but keeps what the S5000 drops: a 30A Anderson 12V port, an IP65-sealed battery and EcoFlow’s Smart Home Panel 2. Both switch in 10ms and take extra batteries.
Below: every difference with numbers, a 20-second calculator for your own gear, seven modeled situations, a third option, and what published tests found on each.
The S5000 costs $299.01 less, stores 928Wh more, delivers 500W more, takes 400W more solar, is rated for 2,000 more cycles and weighs 16.5 lb less. The DELTA Pro 3 keeps a 12V Anderson port, more USB, an IP65 battery pack and a home panel.

Estimates use 85% usable capacity and 70% of rated solar output. Real results vary with temperature, inverter load, shade and appliance cycling. Fridge and freezer watts are daily averages and do not include compressor startup surges.
Runtime by appliance, one at a time
Simple energy estimates, not measured runtimes. About 4,270Wh usable on the S5000 and 3,482Wh on the DELTA Pro 3; OutdoorGearLab measured 3,790Wh from the DELTA Pro 3.
Appliance for appliance, the S5000 lasts 23% longer than the DELTA Pro 3.

The price gap, in numbers
The Anker SOLIX S5000 costs $299.01 less than the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 and still holds 928Wh more.
Prices refresh daily from Anker US and EcoFlow US.The S5000 is the bigger battery with the higher cycle rating; the cards above compare cost per Wh and per cycle at today’s prices. The DELTA Pro 3’s premium buys its ports and its ecosystem: the 12V Anderson outlet, more USB, the IP65 battery pack, the Smart Home Panel 2 and generator auto start.
The third option: the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus at $2,599.99
Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus: $2,599.99 today
If 4,500W is not enough: 3,840Wh with 6,000W at 120V and 240V, 3,200W of solar, a TT-30R and an L14-30R, and up to six BP3800 batteries. Unlike the S5000 it works with Anker’s Home Power Panel and has a 12V car socket, at 135.6 lb. Pick it for whole-home circuits with big 240V loads. Our Anker SOLIX buying guide goes deeper. See the F3800 Plus at Anker.
Seven modeled situations, worked out
Same formula as the calculator above, with no expansion battery. The fridge averages 60W, about 525kWh a year, in the range printed on typical EnergyGuide labels; that average does not include compressor startup surges.
24-hour outage, essentials only
Both cover more than a day and a half; the S5000 lasts about nine hours longer. ESS News ran a large fridge plus phones for 61.5 hours on one during a real PG&E shutoff.
A 240V well pump
Both deliver 240V from one unit. The S5000’s guide says it delivers 120V or 240V, not both at once, so plan which circuits share the inlet. The DELTA Pro 3 lists an 8,000W surge, the S5000 8,000W for one second.
A window AC through a summer night
Both get through the hottest hours of a night, the S5000 about an hour and a half longer. ESS News ran a portable air conditioner at about 1kW for more than four hours on the S5000; The Gadgeteer ran a 12,000 BTU unit in a garage gym on the DELTA Pro 3.
Home office through an outage
Two workdays on both. Both switch in 10ms; Bob Vila’s desktop PC kept running when the S5000 was unplugged from the wall.
Refill from solar, each at its maximum
About the same time, with more energy banked on the S5000. Both split solar into a high-voltage and a low-voltage input: up to 165V on the S5000, 150V on the DELTA Pro 3.
Recharging from a 240V outlet
Both refill in under two hours from 240V; TechRadar confirmed the DELTA Pro 3’s 50 minutes to 80%. On a 120V outlet, the S5000 slows to 12A after about three hours; Bob Vila measured 3.5 hours to full.
An RV or van with 12V gear
Both have a TT-30 for the RV cord. Only the DELTA Pro 3 feeds 12V gear directly, through its 30A Anderson port; with the S5000 you need a 120V to 12V converter.

DELTA Pro 3
Practical consequence: both have 20A household outlets, a TT-30 and an L14-30. The DELTA Pro 3 adds a 6-20R, a 30A Anderson port and more USB; the S5000 has no 12V output at all.
09 · NoiseNoise and heat: S5000 vs DELTA Pro 3
Both are rated around a whisper: Anker gives the Anker SOLIX S5000 under 30dB at 2,000W, and EcoFlow says the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 runs as low as 30dB. OutdoorGearLab didn’t notice the DELTA Pro 3’s fan overnight.
Neither figure has been confirmed by an independent dB measurement we could find.Every figure we found, with its source
What reviewers heard: Charging was very quiet, even quieter than the smaller S2000 (ESS News); nearly silent running a portable AC, but the fans hum noticeably as the load rises (Bob Vila).
What reviewers heard: Ran overnight with CPAP machines and heaters without the fan being noticed, louder only near its 4,000W maximum (OutdoorGearLab); used through a heat wave routinely above 90°F (Digital Trends).

Cold and heat: S5000 vs DELTA Pro 3
For a cold garage, the Anker SOLIX S5000 keeps running down to −4°F; for heat, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is rated to 113°F. Neither charges below freezing; only the DELTA Pro 3’s battery pack is sealed, IP65, and its main unit is IP20.
Figures from the S5000 user guide (AS510) and the EcoFlow US DELTA Pro 3 page.- Charge either one indoors in winter: neither charges below 32°F.
App, UPS and smart features
The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 does more with a home: the Smart Home Panel 2 and automatic generator start. The Anker SOLIX S5000 answers with Storm Guard and room for five extra batteries.
Same 10ms UPS and time-of-use scheduling on both.Green zone: a switch under about 16ms, which most desktop PCs ride through without restarting.
Can it start a generator by itself? The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 starts an EcoFlow Smart Generator automatically; Anker lists no such feature for the Anker SOLIX S5000.
Does it prepare for storms? The Anker SOLIX S5000’s Storm Guard uses local weather alerts to recharge at full speed before severe weather, ignoring preset limits; no storm mode is listed for the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3.
Does it work as a UPS? Both switch to battery in 10ms; Bob Vila’s PC kept running on the Anker SOLIX S5000, and TechRadar used the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 as a UPS for critical appliances.
Does it connect to a home panel? The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 pairs with the Smart Home Panel 2, with app control of up to 12 circuits, and feeds a transfer switch from its L14-30. The Anker SOLIX S5000 feeds a transfer switch or an inlet box from its L14-30R, but not Anker’s Home Power Panel or the E10 system.
Can it charge off-peak? Both schedule charging by time of use; the Anker SOLIX S5000 handles on-peak, mid-peak, off-peak and super off-peak periods.
Can you add a battery later? The Anker SOLIX S5000 takes up to five BP5000; the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 up to two Extra Batteries, with EcoFlow quoting systems to 48kWh.
How does the app connect? Both use their brand’s app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3, an external GFCI protector only works once its support switch is turned on in the app.
Warranty and support
Anker lists the Anker SOLIX S5000 at 5 years. The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 also reaches 5, but EcoFlow’s product page splits them into 3 standard plus 2 on app registration, while its US warranty table lists 5 with no condition.
We take the cautious reading for the DELTA Pro 3: register it to be safe.Subject to each brand’s warranty terms and eligibility.
Anker rates the S5000 at 6,000 cycles to 80% and EcoFlow the DELTA Pro 3 at 4,000: about 16 and 11 years at one full cycle a day. Calendar aging and heat also reduce capacity.
- If you choose the DELTA Pro 3, register it in the EcoFlow app: EcoFlow’s two pages disagree on whether the last 2 years need it.
- The S5000 needs no step we could find: Anker states no S5000-specific registration condition.
What reviewers report
We have not lab-tested these two units. Here is what 8 published reviews found, with the source, author and date for each point. Reviews of UK and EU units are flagged: those models charge from 230V outlets and have different sockets, so their charge times and outlet findings don’t carry over to US units.
