$549.01 more buys 300 extra watts. It doesn’t buy a bigger battery.

The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 stores 2,048Wh and delivers 2,400W from five outlets and a TT-30 RV port, switches to battery in 10ms and takes a BP2000 Gen 2 battery for 4,096Wh, at 41.7 lb. The BLUETTI Premium 200 V2 stores 2,073.6Wh and delivers 2,700W from four 20A outlets and takes 1,000W of solar instead of 800W, but switches in 15ms, has no TT-30, can’t be expanded and weighs 53.4 lb. If you never run more than 2,400W at once, the extra watts buy you nothing.

Below: every difference with numbers, a 20-second calculator for your own gear, seven modeled situations, a BLUETTI with the same battery, and what published tests found.

Quick answer

About 2kWh each, prices $549.01 apart today. The C2000 Gen 2 is 11.7 lb lighter and adds a TT-30, a fifth outlet, a 10ms UPS and an expansion port; the Premium 200 V2 adds 300W of output and 200W of solar input.

Bottom line: for most buyers the C2000 Gen 2 is the better-rounded 2kWh: lighter, with a TT-30, a 10ms UPS and room to grow. The Premium 200 V2 is for loads between 2,400 and 2,700W or 1,000W of panels, if 53.4 lb and a fixed 2kWh are fine; check the Elite 200 V2 below before you pay for it.

BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 portable power station

BLUETTI Elite 200 V2: $899 today

BLUETTI rates it for 6,000 cycles and it has been tested by several outlets, including StorageReview, which got 1.91kWh out of it. Reviews of UK and EU units are flagged: those models charge from 230V outlets and have different sockets, so their charge times and outlet findings don’t carry over to US units.

14 · Practical limits

Practical limits before you buy

  1. The Premium 200 V2 can’t be expanded and has no power bank mode. 2,073.6Wh is the ceiling; the C2000 Gen 2 takes one BP2000 Gen 2.
  2. The Premium 200 V2 has no TT-30. An RV cord needs an adapter.
  3. The Premium 200 V2’s fastest charging needs BLUETTI support to unlock Turbo.
  4. BLUETTI’s own figures disagree. The Premium 200 V2 page lists 2,300W AC input and 3,900W Power Lifting; the US manual says 1,800W and 4,050W. We use the lower figures.
  5. The Premium 200 V2 has one DC input: AC plus solar or AC plus car, never all three at once.
  6. Heating-load modes don’t help motors. Pumps and compressors need the continuous rating: 2,400W or 2,700W.
  7. Neither has wheels. 41.7 lb and 53.4 lb are two-hand lifts.
  8. Solar cables are extra on both.
  9. On the C2000 Gen 2, the 15W USB-C and 12W USB-A share 20W when used together.
  10. C2000 Gen 2, per its US documentation: When the 15W USB-C and 12W USB-A ports are used together, total output is limited to 20W.
  11. C2000 Gen 2, per its US documentation: USB-C ports are output only; they cannot charge the unit.
  12. C2000 Gen 2, per its US documentation: Only 9W idle consumption; fridge runtime of 32 hours is based on Anker internal testing.
